twXplorer – a smarter way to search Twitter

twXplorer, a search tool developed at Northwestern University Knight Lab in Illinois, helps shows related hashtags and links based on your search query in Twitter.

For any search terms you enter into twXplorer, you get four different ways to see your search results:

twXplorer also removes common words from the searches like “the” giving better results as well as common stem words (words without the -ing -ly -ed and such).  For more on how it works see the About page.

Searches can be saved as snapshots for viewing later.  You can also work with Lists you have created or that are publicly available.

A great search tool for Twitter  Thanks to Knight Lab for putting twXplorer together.
