TweeterGetter is a pyramid scam I have been asked about several times, so here we go. I won’t even drop the link, just search yourself. Basically you use their form to submit a tweet/link. It then follows the five people above you and inserts you in the list. As people click the link and use the form themselves they start auto-following you also. Quite the piece of crud. Just because I click a link doesn’t mean I want to follow you. I can see someone getting a huge spike in followers and then suddenly losing them as people ask, who the heck is this person I am following?
I can go on, it gives me a headache. Watch for these links and people you never followed showing up in your friends list suddenly.
this says is best from their own website:
“What If You Could Press Just One Button & Automatically Start Getting 1000′s Of Legitimate New Twitter Followers On Autopilot… Even If Nobody Knows Who You Are Now?”
Update: apparently they even have an exit pop-up that prompts you to stay on the page to see more exclusive offers. I have not seen that tactic in quite some time. The ending page can be seen here http://tweetergetter.com/exit.html
