Share Media To Twitter With Post.ly Powered By Posterous

You may recall seeing Post.ly after visiting a shortened URL from Posterous blog.  It’s the branded URL shortener for the blogging service that’s now open to the public, the Twitter public that is.

Post.ly is now a media sharing service for Twitter users and Posterous bloggers. From photo’s to documents, Post.ly let’s you send any file and convert it to a web friendly format for you to share. All media is hosted on Posterous and published online instantly with the option to auto-post everywhere.

There’s no word yet on file size limits (leave a tip in the comments if you know). Nevertheless, Post.ly will make uploading media to Posterous blogs a lot easier, and non-Posterous users can join in on the fun.

  1. I’m real interested in finding out what the size limits are. Up until now, I have had problems sending in some videos to posterous because those videos that I recorded wound up bigger than my email server would allow as an attachment. Now, I’ll be trying post.ly whenever gmail won’t allow my attachments due to size. However, without any info about the upload limitations, I may be stuck anyway.

Lets hope they allow at least 35 MB or more. That would be awesome.
