Well it seems we just can’t stick with 140 characters of text. We already have tons of links and twitpics. Next up is RichTweets. You can now have color, images, videos and widgets. You are still generating a link for everyone to view, but the editor gives more flexibility in what gets shown.
They did utilize oAuth which is a nice start. The editor is what you would find for any blogging platform, full richness. Below that you have areas for tags and embed codes, with samples so you can’t go wrong. The title is what get’s sent to Twitter with the link to the unique page from your tweet.
A nice idea but I want to stay in one place unless the link is to an article. Not where I go to read your tweet. If it is a video or picture, send me there. Don’t create a whole new page to just embed it.
