Tweepfind (not to be confused with TweeFind we did here in April) wants you to enter tags that will return results of people to follow. I tested with a large conference name and got back an ad. Yes, I said it. An advertisement. Sure it allowed me to follow all the results, the ad. It also allowed me to tweet the search itself.
Now I am not saying that this doesn’t work properly. It is possible that I picked a bad tag to search under. But I have no clue how I got back Tweefight as someone to follow. With the ability for me to buy the keyword so I will always come out on top.
So I went from a site that would give me the best results to one that relies on people paying to be in the results. I understand the need for monetization. But why not ads built around my search appearing on the side? Why are you messing with the search results themselves?
