Trazzler is a reverse location service. Instead of telling where you are, you use it to find out where you should be. You can see graph history of how often a place is mentioned. Read tweets and even retweet the location.
When I say location I do not mean just places like Stan’s Meat Market. I mean things like the Grand Canyon. The site uses oAuth for authentication for you to perform any actions outside of reading.
You can find festivals, cruises, attractions, music, neighborhoods and more. They have an algorithm they use to build the Buzz about the event or location as shown here:
The Trazzler Buzz list is created from the volumes of information being transmitted to Twitter every second about 10,000 spots in 50 cities, plus festivals and outdoor destinations all over the world. We rank the list according to a formula that measures volume and recent activity on Twitter.
I found it an interesting way to see hot spots. Unfortunately it doesn’t help me if I am not there right now. A predictive buzz would be awesome to help me know what is coming soon, like festivals and conventions so I can start making plans.
The goal of the site is to start growing the input and then make it open source and look for volunteer effort to grow it further. So head over and help spread the buzz.

It’s odd, though, because they have it listed under “festivals”. So they do *know* it’s a city?
Trazzler is a very disappointing site. The biggest festival in the world is taking place in Edinburgh, Scotland right now, and Edinburgh isn’t even listed as a city.
You are correct but they are asking for help to grow the city list and have more events, cities and venues listed.. We are hopeful
