iFollowBack has some confusing verbiage on their site. It seems they have made some changes to how it functions as of June 22nd 2009. The idea is that people use the site and follow you and in return you follow them back. Simple right? Well mix in the ability to create groups and follow back people that join your group adds even more parts.
oAuth is on it’s way, so when I authenticated it was the good old username and password for my testing account. There are numerous groups already created and every one of them is driven at not just finding people that have the same interest, but in getting people to just follow you. Mainly for no reason it seems.
They state it best on the site FAQ:
When you sign up to iFollowBack.com you agree to follow back other members of iFollowBack.com who follow you.
