No fancy icons, no fancy UI, no fancy icons or hooks is what you find at Twitter-to-Friendfeed contact sync. Here is their simple explanation, luckily I use the same name on both services to make it easy for you to follow me on both.
1. We retrieve your Twitter friends
2. We retrieve your FF subscriptions, and cross-check the usernames against your Twitter friends. The ones that match are left out of the next step.
3. The usernames of the un-matched Twitter friends are used to query profiles on FF
4. All hits are returned, with FF profiles who point back to the original Twitter account being considered “verified”So, you can see that this only “works” when people use the same username for both Twitter and FriendFeed. But luckily, this is often the case!
