Great tools, apps, and services built around Twitter

FloatTwitter –

This site is mainly in Japenese but the instructions are being shown in English also. Simply enter your Twitter name and it builds a view that floats your followers.  When you hover you get the description of the person and their recent tweet.  One cool item was that it does note if they are a friend to you or not also.

I thought I could click and drag the users around, but no.  So it randomly places them on the page.  Just a cool toy to look at once, but long term usage wouldn’t be there.

I did get a strange error at one point that translated roughly into Twitter is acting funny and it has too many hands. We will just let it go at that.

I don’t see the point. Is there anything determining the position of the avatar, such as how popular they are?
